When supported, Final Boss retains that context alongside timestamps and important values. The purpose is traceability: the operator should be able to distinguish a source value from a calculated or manually maintained one.
Identify whether a value was entered, imported, or calculated where supported.
Keep relevant timestamps with the record instead of implying perpetual freshness.
